Club Background
Garioch Road runners was formed in 1983 by a small group of individuals who wanted to meet up and go running together. Today our club membership totals approximately 36 members.

We are a road and cross-country running club based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, catering for runners of all ages and standards. The club is based at the Garioch Sports Centre in Inverurie.

We offer both a winter and summer programme of events; the winter programme is based on routes within Inverurie (meet at Garioch Sports Centre, Inverurie), whilst the lighter nights allow us to venture further afield. (see Summer Training schedule for details)

We have two regular running evening meetings every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1835 PM.
There is also a Saturday morning run from Esson's car park, Bennachie at 08:00 AM.

Many of our members participate in the various races held throughout the country (see gallery and results)

Joining GariochRR
Never thought of joining a running club?
Thought running clubs were only for serious athletes, supermen & wonderwomen? (just wait til you meet this lot!)
Fed up running on your own, round the same old routes?
Training for a race and need some encouragement ?
Come along and meet a bunch of like-minded people with one thing in common - a love of running.
Fast or slow pace, long or short run, road or dirt trail, we do them all, and do it for fun!
If this sounds like your cup of tea, then come along and give us a try a couple of times.
Once you're hooked and want to formally join the club, you'll need a membership application form
